Does it take a long time to actually open a tab in Microsoft® Internet Explorer®?
I found out about disabling an addon. I'm not sure if it really helps or not, but its worth a try anyway.
Try this:
See if that helps speed up opening new tabs.

- Go to Tools > Internet Options > Programs > Manage Addons.
- Disable the addon called something like Sun Java SSV Helper.
See if that helps speed up opening new tabs.
